In 1987, founder and owner, Giovanni Rea, decided it was time to move his salami and sausage business from the basement of his home to a small commercial unit in Vaughan Ontario.
In addition to small scale production, a modest space was used as a retail storefront to showcase Rea products. With the increased demand for Rea products, mainly, the Italian sausage we all know today, Rea Foods began to grow modestly. Years later, having reached full capacity, Rea Foods moved it’s production operation to a larger facility, naming it Marini Foods Ltd.
Today, the original space is still used as a retail outlet showcasing Rea products.
